Armand A. Lombardo, age 87 of White Oak, died Tuesday, February 6, 2018. He was born January 13, 1931 in the Bloomfield section of Pittsburgh, the son of the late Armand E. and Elena F. Mazzotta Lombardo. He was a graduate of McKeesport High School and the University of Pittsburgh. Armand was the former owner of Reliable Auto Service in McKeesport. He was a teacher for Allegheny Intermediate Unit and was an accomplished artist, woodworker, carver, and sculptor. He loved the outdoors and enjoyed hunting, fishing, skiing, and gardening. He was also an outstanding chef who loved baking bread and preparing delicious Italian meals for family and friends. Armand is survived by his wife Carole Gibson Lombardo, sons; Armand Jr. (Janet) Lombardo of Brandon, MS, Gregory (Marcia) Lombardo of Port Vue, Joseph Lombardo of McKeesport, daughter, Valerie (Joseph) Walsh of White Oak, brothers; Mario (Judith) Lombardo of Potomac, MD, Ronald (Margritte “Peggy”) of Elizabeth, sister, Juanita Bazzone of Atlanta, GA, 7 grandchildren, 7 great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. Services were held by Strifflers of White Oak Cremation & Mortuary Services (Sue Striffler Galaski, Supervisor 412-678-6177).
