Barbara A. Sobel

Barbara A. Sobel, age 67, of New Stanton, died on Monday, July 25, 2022. She was born in Seoul, South Korea on August 5, 1954 and is the daughter of the late Olav and Mimmie Chun Crone-Aamot. She loved to knit, was very passionate about cooking and her garden. She also loved all animals, especially cats. She was a very caring person and always wanted to help others in need. She was extremely passionate about giving care to others, either with a warm meal or a place to stay.

She is survived by her husband, David Sobel; son, Gordon (Faith) Sobel of Jeannette, PA; daughter, Jacquelyn (Alex) Sobel of Jeannette; grandchildren, Sydney Sobel; and Eli Sobel.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Douglas Chun.

An exact date is not scheduled at this time, but by late August there will be a celebration in memory of Barbara at Sobel’s Obscure Brewery, 500 Clay Avenue, Jeannette, PA 15644.
