Beverly J. Jackowski

Beverly J. Jackowski, age 80, of Port Vue, died Sunday July 28, 2019.  She was born August 16, 1938 in McKeesport and the daughter of the late Charles “APP” and Mercedes Dore James.  She was employed at the Palmer House as a cook for many years and then Dollar General in Port Vue as a cashier.  She enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and cherished her precious moments with her great grandchildren who always made her smile and laugh. She is survived by her daughter Cindy (Wayne) Harbert of Port Vue, grandchildren; Justin (Aimee Gioai) Harbert, Nicole (Tim) Rush and Kristen (Mitchell Geary) Harbert, great grandchildren: Logan, Timmy, Owen, Ian and MacKenzie, and sister Darlene Shumpert of Lexington, South Carolina, and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Tammy, who died November 28, 2018 and her husband Edwin “Babe” Jackowski. Friends and family are welcome at Strifflers of White Oak Cremation and Mortuary Services, 1100 Lincoln Way, White Oak, PA 15131 (Sue Striffler Galaski, supervisor, 412 678 6177) on Wed., July 31, 2019, from 3:00 until 7:00 pm.
