Candice D.J. Volponi

Candice D.J. Volponi, age 37, of Liberty Boro., died on July 10, 2018.  She was born on July 18, 1980 in McKeesport, the daughter of Margueritte “Peggy” Deissler Volponi of Liberty Boro. and the late Guy M. Volponi.  She worked in Chemistry/Hematology at various UPMC Hospitals in the area including Shadyside, Presbyterian, Montefiore, and Monroeville East.   Throughout her high school and college years she loved watching and participating in all sports.  She enjoyed gardening, cooking, shooting pool, painting and other arts; she was obsessed with old cars and did counseling at a local rehab center.  In addition to her mother, Margueritte, she is survived by her grandparents, Francis Deissler of Mt. Laurel, NJ and Mario and Louise Volponi of Liberty Boro; aunts and uncles, Michelle (Greg) Muschlitz of Charlotte, NC, Mark (Carol) Volponi of Adams Twp., PA, Marie (Joe) Scheiblein of Cinnaminson, NJ; cousins, Pierre Andre Deissler, Nicole (Reynoldo) Hernandez, Samantha and Kimberly Volponi, Rebecca Moore, and various other cousins. Friends and family will be received at Striffler’s of White Oak Cremation & Mortuary Services, Inc., 1100 Lincoln Way, White Oak, PA 15131 (Sue Striffler Galaski, Supervisor, 412-678-6177) on Saturday, July 14, 2018 from 2pm until the time of service at 6pm in the funeral home chapel with Deacon Dale DiSanto officiating.
