Carl Wallace Amman, age 90, of White Oak, died Wednesday, January 13, 2021. He was born in Pittsburgh, on August 21, 1930 and is the son of the late Carl Wallace Amman and the late Amelia Sior Kelly. He worked as a draftsman in the engineering department and later retired as a foreman for US Steel National Works McKeesport. He also worked at the former Dunn Corporation in Carnegie for many years. He was also a very active member in the Beulah Park United Methodist Church.
He is survived by his loving wife, Dorothy Amman; daughters, Kathleen Bolla of Dallas, Texas and Deborah Gwirtz of Carmel, Indiana; sister, Lois Singleton of Upper St. Clair; 6 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren.
A gathering for friends and family will be held on Friday, January 15, 2021 from 11:00 am until 1:00 pm at Strifflers of White Oak Cremation and Mortuary Services, 1100 Lincoln Way, White Oak, PA 15131 (Sue Striffler Galaski, supervisor, 412-678-6177). Services will follow at 1:00 pm with Rev. William Meekins, Jr. officiating. Burial will follow. Should friends desire, memorial contributions may be sent to Beulah Park United Methodist Church, 1615 Grandview Ave, McKeesport, PA 15132.
