Charles Phillip Moon

Charles Phillip Moon, age 59, of Versailles, PA, died on Friday, October 21, 2022. He was born in Los Angeles, CA on July 13, 1963 and is the son of the late Richard and Fannie Norton Moon. Charles proudly served in the United States Army and was employed as a combat engineer. He was a member of the Port Vue American Legion Post 447 and was an avid Pittsburgh sports fan.

He is survived by his loving wife of 34 years, Tracy Wise Moon; children, Shawn Moon of Munhall; Kristin Moon of Versailles; Danielle Moon of McKeesport; grandchildren, Kaylee Moon; Kristopher Soles, Jr.; Ryder Moon; Kinslee Moon; Sophie Moon; Blake Moon; and brother, Wayne Moon of McKeesport.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his loving mother-in-law, Dawn Ann Brown; and brother, Richard “Butch” Moon, Jr.

A celebration of life will be held at the Port Vue American Legion, 304 Gumbert Street, Port Vue, PA 15133, on Friday, October 28, 2022 from 5:00 p.m. until 10:00 p.m. Arrangements are being handled by Strifflers of White Oak Cremation and Mortuary Services, 1100 Lincoln Way, White Oak, PA 15131 (Sue Striffler Galaski, supervisor, 412-678-6177).
