Daniel Wilson Driscoll, age 84, of Dayton, PA, formerly of Clark St. in White Oak, died on Thursday, February 24, 2022. He was born in Pittsburgh on May 1, 1937 and is the son of the late Charles S. and Ellen Wilson Driscoll. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his first wife, Margaret Zanker Driscoll who died in January 2014, and his siblings, Charles, James, John, Thomas, Robert, Wilbur, Edward, William, Helen, Regina and Katherine.
After school he worked for the Association of the Blind (West Penn Hospital) and then traveled to New York City to learn braille and to tune pianos. He was the founder of the Mon Valley Pioneers Blind Bowlers, and he played the guitar in a band and shared his music in many campgrounds.
He is survived by his wife Margaret "Peg" Coffman Driscoll, brothers, Paul Driscoll of Murfreesboro, Tennessee, and Gerard Driscoll of Monongahela, PA. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews.
Friends and family are welcome on Monday, February 28, 2022 from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Strifflers of White Oak Cremation and Mortuary Services, 1100 Lincoln Way, White Oak, PA 15131 (Sue Striffler Galaski, supervisor, 412 678 6177). Services will be held, Tuesday, March 1, 2022 at 11:00 am in the funeral home chapel. Burial will follow.
