Edward Michael “Butch” Dunlay, age 84, of White Oak, PA, died on Thursday, March 20, 2025. He was born in McKeesport, PA, on May 4, 1940, and is the son of the late James Francis and Elizabeth “Bea” Englert Dunlay.
He was employed by American Airlines for 30 years. Many would know Butch from seeing him running at White Oak Park, on the street, or at the gym. In addition to his love for running, he enjoyed antique vintage cars, motorcross, and his Harley motorcycles.
Butch is survived by his wife, Norma Jean Sinclair Dunlay; sons, James (Barbara) “Jim” William Dunlay of North Huntingdon, PA; and John (Jody) “Jack” Edward Dunlay of White Oak, PA; grandchildren, Jocelyn (Glenn) Bray; Jay Dunlay; Ali Dunlay; and Jenna (John) Turek; along with great-grandchildren, Jaylee; Jack; Jameson; Glen; and Josie.
Family and friends are invited to gather to honor Butch’s memory on Sunday, March 23, 2025, from 2:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. at Strifflers of White Oak Cremation and Mortuary Services, Inc., 1100 Lincoln Way, White Oak, PA 15131 (Sue Striffler Galaski, supervisor, 412-678-6177). A funeral service will take place on Monday, March 24, 2025, at 10:00 a.m. in the funeral home chapel. A burial will follow.
