Elizabeth “Betty” J. Eizenhafer, age 92, of Irwin, formerly of Versailles, died on Saturday, November 26, 2022. She was born in McKeesport on January 24, 1930 and is the daughter of the late Alexander and Anna Freund Eizenhafer. She graduated from McKeesport High School in 1947 and retired after 44 years in clerical positions for Crum and Forster Insurance Co. in Pittsburgh. She was an active member of Mary, Mother of God Parish, St. Patrick Church, their Bereavement Committee, Rosary Society, Ladies of Charity, and the Christian Mothers, as well as a member of the Versailles AARP.
She is survived by her nephew, John (Rosemary) Eizenhafer, Jr. of Irwin; nieces, Patty Pataky of Jacksonville, FL; Regina (Sam) Staymates of Export; great nieces and nephews, Jack; Tiffany; Cindy (Rob); Jennifer (Harry); Mark (Maria); Sara; and Matt (Kelley). She is also survived by several great-great nieces and nephews, Jonathan; Aiden; Holly; Dylan; Kennedy; Mailani; Konrad; Michaela; and Saraya.
In addition to her parents, Betty was preceded in death by her brothers, Jack (the late Mary Catherine) Eizenhafer; Bill Eizenhafer; nephew, Mark Eizenhafer; nieces, Kitty Rhyne; Mary Alice Bruce; great nephew, Robert Mowry; and great niece, Christina Mowry.
Family and friends will gather on Wednesday, November 30, 2022 from 2:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m. and from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Strifflers of White Oak Cremation and Mortuary Services, Inc., 1100 Lincoln Way, White Oak, PA 15131 (Sue Striffler Galaski, supervisor, 412-678-6177). A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Thursday, December 1, 2022 at 11:30 a.m. at Mary, Mother of God Parish, St. Patrick Church, 312 32nd Street, McKeesport, PA 15132. Burial will follow.
