Eunice Rachel Rarick

Eunice Rachel Rarick, age 99, of Irwin, PA, died on Wednesday, November 20, 2024. She was born in McKeesport, PA on January 4, 1925 and was the daughter of the late Verne and Elizabeth Chilson Morrison. Eunice was the wife of the late Donald C. Rarick. In her younger years, she worked in a variety of roles and later retired after twenty-five years of dedicated service with the Pennsylvania Turnpike Commission. She was a member of Happy Hearts, Keenagers, AARP, Ridge Road Women’s Club, and Meals on Wheels. She loved playing cards from pinochle, 500 bid, and hands and feet. She also enjoyed shopping, and going on vacation to Geneva on the Lake, Deep Creek Lake and Longboat Key, Florida.

Eunice is survived by her daughter, Mary Jane (the late Donald) Temple of Irwin, PA; grandchildren, Kimberley (Robert) Paull of Dunbar, PA; Lee (Amber) Temple of Manor, PA; great-grandchildren, Ian; Paige; and Lexie Temple; and many nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents and husband, Eunice was preceded in death by her siblings, John (the late Peggy) Morrison; Ina (the late Regis) Flaherty; Betty (the late John) Paradise; and Eleanor Morrison, who was her twin sister.

Family and friends will gather on Friday, November 22, 2024 from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Strifflers of White Oak Cremation and Mortuary Services, Inc., 1100 Lincoln Way, White Oak, PA 15131 (Sue Striffler Galaski, supervisor, 412-678-6177). Services will be held on Saturday, November 23, 2024 at 10:00 a.m. in the funeral home chapel with Pastor Ray Beard officiating. Interment will follow.
