Francis “Fran” Patrick passed away suddenly on Friday, June 18th, 2021. He was born on January 11, 1944 in Clairton, PA, and is the son of the late Frank and Lila Thomas Patrick. Fran resided and raised his family in Dravosburg, PA, then in November of 2020 Fran achieved his goal of retiring in Florida with his wife, Regina, and his son, Addam and his family.
He was an electrical designer by trade and had a superior work ethic. He was a junior fire fighter and a lifelong member of Dravosburg Volunteer Fire Department. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus for 40 years and was past Grand Knight of Council 4210 Duquesne/West Mifflin, past Faithful Navigator of the Stephen P. Parry Assembly and District Treasurer of Master Sean Petriscko.
He enjoyed golfing, cheering on the Steelers and Penguins, traveling which included multiple cruises with friends and family, spending time with his beloved dog, Daisy, and time with his grandchildren. Fran was known to his grandchildren as “Patty”; he was deeply loved, adored, and admired. He was very proud of his grandchildren, enjoyed talking on the phone, being a taxi driver to and from work and school, playing video games with them, or watching countless hours of Baby Shark.
He is survived by wife of 51 years, Regina Gribschaw Patrick; sons, Aaron (Shana) Patrick of Conway, PA and Addam (Tiffanie) Patrick of Tampa, Florida; grandchildren, Lexi, Nathan, Vincey, Dylan, Riley, Abbagayle, and Zachary; nephews, Michael (Shannon) Staneich of Elizabeth, PA, Brian (Nikki) Gribschaw of Batavia, Illinois; niece, Lindsay (Lee) Renfro of Round Rock, Texas, and Laurie Gribschaw of Seattle, Washington; great nephews, Nathan and Connor; great niece, Phoebe. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his sister, Mary Ann Patrick.
Family and friends will gather at Strifflers of White Oak Cremation and Mortuary Services, 1100 Lincoln Way, White Oak, PA 15131 (Sue Striffler Galaski, supervisor, 412-678-6177) on Friday, June 25, 2021 from 4:00 until 8:00 pm. There will be a prayer service at the funeral home on Saturday, June 26, 2021 at 11:30 am with the Knights of Columbus #4210, followed by the funeral service at Noon with Father Greg Madeya officiating. Burial will follow.
