Gretchen Bjerstedt

Gretchen Bjerstedt, age 88, of Pittsburgh, PA, formerly of West Mifflin, PA and Washington State, died on Friday, March 7, 2025. She was born in Dravosburg, PA, on February 2, 1937, and is the daughter of the late Carl Richard and Catherine Huttenhower Bjerstedt.

Gretchen is survived by her children, Susan Cox of North Versailles, PA; David Cox of Orting, WA; grandchildren, Katie Jo (Eric) Krol of Fort Moore, GA; Andrew (Andrea) Anderson of Butler, PA; Brittany Duncan of Orting, WA; and Nicholas Cox of Orting, WA; great-grandchildren, Kolton; Kilean; Evalynn; Abram; Allie; Kaden; Mason; Jaxxson; Ember; Sophia; Brenden; and Harleigh; brother, Carl (Rita) Bjerstedt of WA; sisters, Carolyn (the late Frank) Campbell of Dravosburg, PA; and Ingrid (Miller) Rogers of WI.

In addition to her parents, Gretchen is preceded in death by her brother, William (the late Glo) Bjerstedt.

A burial took place at Grandview Cemetery in North Versailles, PA. Arrangements were cared for by Strifflers of White Oak Cremation and Mortuary Services, Inc., 1100 Lincoln Way, White Oak, PA 15131 (Sue Striffler Galaski, supervisor, 412-678-6177).
