Helaine J. Phillips

Helaine J. Phillips, age 78, of White Oak, died Tuesday, March 6, 2018. She was born in Pittsburgh on September 9, 1939 and is the daughter of the late Marian R. Michael Ferraro Wotherspoon and Anthony Ferraro, and wife of the late Jon Phillips. Helaine was employed by PA Coach Lines for years where she held numerous different jobs. She was a driver, a dispatcher, a bookkeeper, worked in payroll and was a school bus monitor. She was a member of Corpus Christi Church and was past president of the Christian Mothers Rosary Society and the Prayer Shawl Ministry. She is survived by her children, F. John (Lisa) Talbot of Lake Elmo, Minnesota, Michelle Johnston of Aliquippa, PA, Paul M. (Kris) Talbot of Cambridge, Ohio; grandchildren, Michael and Joe Talbot, Christian and Sydney Parker, and Nick and Sammy Naidicz; great-grandchildren, Joe, Emma, Charlie, Franklynn and Jack; nephew, Andrew Ferraro and niece, Amy (Dave) Pirl. She was preceded in death by her brother, Anthony V. Ferraro. Friends will be received at Strifflers of White Oak Cremation & Mortuary Services, 1100 Lincoln Way, White Oak, PA 15131 (412-678-6177) on Saturday, March 17, 2018 from 9:30 am until 11:30 am. Mass will follow at 12 noon at Corpus Christi Church, McKeesport with Fr. Steven Palsa officiating. Burial will follow.
