Helen Elizabeth Gullion

Helen Elizabeth Gullion, age 101, of Pittsburgh, PA, formerly of Homestead and McKeesport, PA, died on Friday, February 28, 2025. She was born in Pittsburgh, PA on October 27, 1923 and is the daughter of the late Isadore B. and Kathryne Peterman Limegrover. She was the wife of the late Frank Topper and later Norman Gullion. Helen proudly served in the United States Marine Corps during World War II. She was later employed as a school bus driver for eighteen years and an associate at NAPA Auto Parts for eight years.

She is survived by her daughter, Anne (Fred) Berk of Woodland Park, CO; grandchildren, Michael Topper of Avonmore, PA; Karen (John) Morrow of North Huntingdon, PA; Kevin (Darragh) Topper of Gibsonia, PA; Colleen Topper of Greensburg, PA; Andrew Topper of Altoona, PA; Fred (Beth) Topper of Hidden Valley, PA; Shelly (Chris) Borcik of Pittsburgh, PA; Laura Berk of Parker, CO; Robert (Chelsea) Berk of Woodland Park, CO; John Berk of Colorado Springs, CO; twenty great-grandchildren; sister, Evelyn (the late Archie) McGhee of Level Green, PA; daughter-in-law, Kathy Topper of Level Green, PA; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Helen is also preceded in death by her sons, Frank (the late Elaine) Topper; Hayden (the late Kathleen) Topper; David Topper; and brothers, John Limegrover; George Limegrover; and Bernard Limegrover.

Family and friends will gather on Monday, March 3, 2025 from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Strifflers of White Oak Cremation and Mortuary Services, Inc., 1100 Lincoln Way, White Oak, PA 15131 (Sue Striffler Galaski, supervisor, 412-678-6177). A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday, March 4, 2025 at 10:00 a.m. at Mary, Mother of God Parish, St. Angela Merici Church, 2701 Kelly Street, White Oak, PA 15131. A burial will take place at Mount Carmel Catholic Cemetery in Verona, PA.
