Dr. Herbert Lamont Morgan, age 71, of Florida, died on December 20, 2020. He was born in Pittsburgh on August 29, 1949 and is the son of the late Lamont and MaryJane Hummel Morgan. Herbert worked at South Allegheny School District in elementary education, then was a superintendent at Bethlehem Center and later for Elizabeth Forward School District until he retired. He will be fondly remembered for his lifelong work with children and his unique sense of humor.
He is survived by his wife, Cindy (Wehrle) Morgan, formally of Erie, now of Port Charlotte, Florida; son, Ryan (Hillary) Morgan of North Huntingdon, PA; brother, Bradford (Joyce) Morgan of Maumee, Ohio; granddaughter, Samantha Morgan; grandson, Flynn Morgan; stepsons, Matthew Ruggiero of Newman Lake, Washington, John Ruggiero of Erie, Pennsylvania and Patrick Timon of Boynton Beach, Florida; step-grandsons, Jack and Luke Ruggiero, niece; Ashley Morgan of Murprees Boro, TN, nephew; Bradford Morgan of Ohio, and first wife, Linda Welty of Port Vue, PA.
A memorial service will be held at a later date. Arrangements are entrusted to Strifflers of White Oak Cremation and Mortuary Services, 1100 Lincoln Way, White Oak, PA 15131 (Sue Striffler Galaski, supervisor, 412 678 6177).
