Joseph Ventrice, age 92, of Pittsburgh, died on Thursday, December 15, 2022. He was born in East Liberty on August 28, 1930 and is the son of the late Paul and Rose Gullia Ventrice. He was proudly employed as a welder and fabricator for Reiling Manufacturing Company and Blumcraft Company. While at Reiling’s, he constructed Virgil Cantini’s Joy of Life statue that now resides in East Liberty, Pennsylvania. He also welded various fixtures for his families’ and neighbors’ homes, and he could fix just about anything. He most looked forward to Sunday dinners with family. He was continuously surrounded by love.
Joseph is survived by his loving wife of 70 years, Mary DiGiorno Ventrice; children, Ronald (Sandi) Ventrice of Gibsonia; Richard (Sandy) Ventrice of Pittsburgh; and Susan (Mark) Tortorice of Port Vue; and many grandchildren (Marla, Mandy, Markie, Matthew, and Ryan), nieces, nephews, and cousins.
In addition to his parents, Joseph was preceded in death by his siblings (Kay, Rocco, Connie, Julie, Jack, and Annie).
The family gathered for blessing service on Monday, December 19, 2022 at Strifflers of White Oak Cremation and Mortuary Services, Inc., 1100 Lincoln Way, White Oak, PA 15131 (Sue Striffler Galaski, supervisor, 412-678-6177) and burial followed.
