Josephine Marie Dorazio, age 95, grew up in Glassport, moved to McKeesport then to White Oak, died on Friday, October 13, 2023. She was born in McKeesport on March 19, 1928 and is the daughter of the late Joseph and Mary Galeza Pryzby. She was the wife of the late Frank G. Dorazio, who died on June 3, 2013. Josephine was previously employed at the former Philbert Candy Company of Glassport and retired as a cashier from the Foodland Grocery Store on Fifth Avenue in McKeesport. She was a member of the former St. Mary Czestochowa Church and its Christian Mothers.
Josephine is survived by her children, James (Joanne) Dorazio of White Oak; Debi Dorazio of Verona; and many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews.
In addition to her parents and husband, Josephine was preceded in death by her siblings, Stanley Galeza; William Galeza; Walter Galeza; Chester Galeza; Theodore Galeza; and Ann Wawrzyniak.
Family and friends will gather on Saturday, October 21, 2023 from 9:30 a.m. until 11:15 a.m. at Strifflers of White Oak Cremation and Mortuary Services, Inc., 1100 Lincoln Way, White Oak, PA 15131 (Sue Striffler Galaski, supervisor, 412-678-6177). Prayers will start at 11:15 a.m. in the funeral home chapel. A Mass will be celebrated at Noon at Holy Family Polish National Catholic Church, 1921 Eden Park Blvd., McKeesport, PA 15132. Burial will follow at St. Mary’s Polish Cemetery in White Oak.
