Joyce Marie Epolito

Joyce Marie Epolito of McKeesport, PA, age 88, passed away on March 4, 2024, at her home surrounded by her loving family. She was born in Clairton, PA, on April 19, 1935 to the late Wilbur Clyde and Marie Lundeen Sample.

She was a member of the First Evangelical Free Church where she was part of the Senior Achievers and the Grief Support Group. Her faith was extremely important to her. Throughout her life, Joyce worked as a unit secretary for UPMC, McKeesport Hospital, was an Avon Representative, and took care of her family and her home, which was her favorite job. Joyce was a domestic queen, full of love and life. She will be dearly missed.

Joyce is survived by children; Dana Marie (Gerard) Grace of McKeesport, PA; James Clyde (Deborah) Epolito of East Lansing MI; Mark Adrian (Anita) Epolito; and Anthony Vincent (Tari) Epolito of Irwin, PA; nine grandchildren; sixteen great grandchildren; and her brother and sister-in- law; Al and Barbara Bill of Port Vue, PA.

In addition to her parents, Joyce is preceded in death by her husband, Anthony Vincent Epolito Sr., and her sisters; Twila Smith, and Donna Sabo.

Family and friends will gather on Thursday, March 7, 2024, from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Striffler’s of White Oak Cremation and Mortuary Services Inc., 1100 Lincoln Way, White Oak, PA 15131 (Sue Striffler Galaski, supervisor, 412-678-6177). Services will be held Friday, March 8, 2024, at 10:00 a.m. at First Free Evangelical Church, 4001 University Drive, McKeesport, PA 15132. Burial will follow.
