Linda Gerstner Sendek of White Oak, Pennsylvania passed away peacefully at her home on Thursday, January 30, 2020 at the age of 69. She was born on March 31, 1950 and is the daughter of the late Herbert and Mary Polly Gerstner.
Linda received a degree in Medical Technology from Penn State University, a field in which she worked until her retirement from The University of Pittsburgh Medical Center in 2008. She was an avid reader, enjoying murder mysteries and action adventures. She was a puzzler just like her mother before her. She couldn’t get enough of Agatha Christie’s Hercule Poirot. Nor would she ever think she owned enough diamonds or had enough chocolate. She created beautiful cross-stitch pictures, many of which hang in her daughter’s home. She loved all animals, but treasured her cats most of all. It was Linda’s wish that no services be held. Those wishing to honor her memory may make donations in her name to the Animal Rescue League.
She is survived by her loving husband of 42 years, Michael, her daughter Lauren (Nicholas) Talotta of North Huntington and grandchildren Nicholas and Alexis. In addition to her parents, Linda was preceded in death by her sister, Karen (Terry) Murray.
