Mara Jane Stephan

Mara Jane Stephan, 64, of White Oak, passed away November 5, 2023, in UPMC Presbyterian Hospital. Born July 15, 1959, Mara was the daughter of the late Lou and Mary Vrabel Sladics.

Ms. Stephan attended McKeesport High School, and was a member of the graduating class of 1977.

Mara had resided in White Oak with her partner, Bob Parker, for over twenty years. She is fondly remembered by her loved ones for her cooking and gardening skills as a devoted homemaker. Her flowers were always blooming and the smell of a home cooked meal was always in the air. She loved nothing more than spending time with her children and grandchildren. Mara had the warmest heart, and loved unconditionally.

Survivors left to cherish her memory include a daughter, Jena (Stacey Tennant) Stephan of Export; a son, Jared (Brittany Delancey) Stephan of Monroeville; partner, Bob Parker of White Oak; a sister, Sara (John) Dalton of North Carolina; a brother, Louis Sladics of Texas; two beloved grandchildren, Dylan Snyder (8), and Adalyn Stephan (3); and many nieces and nephews.

Preceding Mara in death are her sister, Eva Sladics, and her brother, Nicholas Sladics.

Family and friends will gather on Saturday, November 11, 2023 from 1:00 PM until 4:00 PM at Strifflers of White Oak Cremation and Mortuary Services, Inc., 1100 Lincoln Way, White Oak, PA 15131 (Sue Striffler Galaski, supervisor, 412-678-6177).
