Mary C. Schmidt

Mary C. Schmidt, age 101, of White Oak died on January 22, 2021. She was born in McKeesport on June 3, 1919 and is the daughter of the late Gabor and Susannah Bunyak Yunecko, and the wife of the late Charles Schmidt. She was a member of the Evangelical Congregational Church of McKeesport. One of her favorite past times was gardening.
She is survived by daughters, Debra (Larry) Boyko of White Oak, Cynthia (Tim) Indyk of White Oak, and son, Larry (Nancy) Schmidt of Jefferson Hills, grandchildren; Matthew (Sarah) Boyko, Kelly (John) Youkers, Brian (Tammy) Schmidt, and Timothy Indyk, 2 great grandchildren and 3 great-great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by sisters, Helen Yunecko, Irene Hurley, and Ann Duffy, brothers, Steve, John, George and Ed Yunecko.
A family gathering took place at Striffler’s of White Oak Cremation and Mortuary Services, Inc., 1100 Lincoln Way, White Oak, PA 15131 (Sue Striffler Galaski, supervisor, 412-678-6177) on Tuesday January 26th, 2021 and funeral services were held at the Evangelical Congregational Church with Reverend Glenn Irvin officiating. Burial followed.
