Patricia Louise Jackowski, age 86, of Elizabeth Twp., PA, died on Friday, January 17, 2025. She was born in Homestead, PA on May 9, 1938 and was the daughter of the late Vincent and Agnes Traynor Kelly. She was the wife of the late John Jackowski, Jr. who died in 2009. Patricia was a 1956 graduate of St. Peter’s High School in McKeesport, PA. She was employed as a dietary aide for UPMC McKeesport and then later for McKeesport Area High School.
Patricia was a very giving, kind-hearted and generous soul with a great sense of humor. She went out of her way to make everyone feel welcome and if you went to her home, you did not leave hungry. Patricia was a devout Christian. She loved her church, her family, cooking and baking and all animals. She even shopped for the wildlife who visited her backyard. Patricia was a huge Penguins fan and absolutely adored her cat, Oliver. At the age of 83 and again at the age of 84, she visited her homeland, Ireland. She just loved life.
She was a very loving mother and grandmother and is survived by her children, John Allen Jackowski of West Newton, Donald Raymond (Keri) Jackowski of Raleigh, NC; Sherry Rose (Carl) Bailey of North Huntingdon, PA; Karen Rita Ruffing of Elizabeth Twp., PA; grandchildren, Simon Jackowski; Ethan Jackowski; Caroline Jackowski; Daniel Jackowski; Carl Bailey; Kayla Bailey; Nicholas Ruffing; Alec Ruffing; and siblings, Vincent (the late Anna Mae) Kelly of Peachtree Corners, GA; and Michelle Kelly of Roanoke Rapids, VA.
Family and friends will gather on Sunday, January 19, 2025 from 3:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday, January 20, 2025 at 10:00 a.m. at Saints Joachim and Anne Parish, Saint Michael’s Church, 101 McLay Drive, Elizabeth, PA 15037. Burial will follow in Round Hill Cemetery.
