Perry Dean Ackerman

Perry Dean “Pirate Pete/Pedro” Ackerman, age 66, of McKeesport, died on Sunday, July 23, 2023. He was born in McKeesport on April 17, 1957 and is the son of the late Carl and Jean McGee Ackerman. Perry is survived by his wife, Donna Egenlauf Ackerman; daughters, Donna J. (Barry) Ackerman Giles of McKeesport; Sherry Helfrich; grandchildren, Nathan Dean (Nakaya) Giles, Sr.; Noah Giles; Brady Helfrich; great-grandchildren, Nathan, Jr.; Atreis; Nova; siblings, Linda Baranchak of Sierra Vista, AZ; Patty Maldonado of McKeesport; Irene “Twig” Alvarez of McKeesport; Kathy McNelis of Glassport; Roberta Rodman of McKeesport; Harry (Rosalinda) Ackerman of McKeesport; Carl (Denise) Ackerman of Savannah, GA; Bruce Ackerman of McKeesport; Glenn (Frank Domiguez) Ackermann of Phoenix, AZ; Allen (the late Emma) Ackerman of McKeesport; and many nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, Perry was preceded in death by siblings, Carol Ackerman; Merry Singlar; and Lisa Wimbs.
