Regina H. (Nowicki) Zahorchak, age 91 of White Oak, died Monday, November 13, 2017. She was born October 16, 1926 in McKeesport, the daughter of the late Wiktor Florian and Lottie Tulowiecka Nowicki, and the wife of the late John F. Zahorchak. She was preceded in death by her son Dennis V. Zahorchak in 1987, the same year as her husband. She worked in retail most of her life for Murphy’s, Cox’s, and then My-Shop in Olympia Shopping Center. During the WWII she worked at Christy Park as an inspector. She was a member of Corpus Christi, formerly Sacred Heart Parish, the Wellness Golden Key Club at McKeesport Hospital, and was the oldest Wisewalker for 6 years at Renzie Park. She was a hardworking and generous mother to her children and family. She was a great cook and made the best meatloaf and chocolate chip cookies. Regina is survived by her daughter Janice E. Zahorchak of White Oak, son, Richard J. Zahorchak, Sr. of N. Huntingdon, grandson Richard J. Zahorchak, Jr. of Port Vue, nieces Pamela Austin of Hummelstown, PA, Victoria Stover of Mechanicsburg, nephew, Drew Nowicki of Hummelstown, PA and daughter in law, Faye Zahorchak of Port Vue. She was preceded in death by her siblings Stanley H., Arthur, and Edmund Nowicki and Stella Rozgonyi. Family and friends will be received on Wednesday, November 15th at Strifflers of White Oak Cremation & Mortuary Services, 1100 Lincoln Way, White Oak, PA 15131 (Sue Striffler Galaski, Supervisor 412-678-6177) from 4:00-8:00 pm. Mass will be held Thursday at 10:00 am at Corpus Christi Church, McKeesport with Fr. Steven Palsa officiating. Burial will follow. Condolences may be made at
