Robert G. Boord

Robert G. Boord, age 80 of White Oak, died Monday, March 6, 2017. He was born in McKeesport on November 25, 1936, son of the late Robert and Dorothy Crossman Boord. Robert worked as a printer at the Daily News for over thirty years before he retired. He was a lifetime volunteer fireman for the White Oak Fire Department and was an avid fisherman and gardener. He is survived by his daughters; Danielle and Michelle Boord of White Oak; son, Robert (Joya) Boord of McKeesport; grandchildren, Malina and Bobby; and brother Dennis (Priscilla) Crossman of Indianapolis, IN. Friends will be received Wednesday, March 8, 2017 from 5pm until services at 6pm, with Pastor Charles Owston officiating, and then again from 6:30 pm until 8pm, at Striffler’s of White Oak Cremation & Mortuary Services, Inc., 1100 Lincoln Way, White Oak, PA 15131 (Sue Striffler Galaski, Supervisor 412-678-6177).
