Robert D Hartnett of Pittsburgh, PA, 39, went home to be with our Lord in paradise on Saturday, December 12, 2020.
Bob was born in McKeesport, PA on March 13, 1981, son of Timothy and Kelly (Finn) Hartnett of Lincoln Boro, PA.
On October 23, 2010 he was married to Carrie J (Redinger) Hartnett. Bob was a loving and devoted father to Zachary Robert. Also surviving are his brother William “Billy” (Jayme) Hartnett of Hempfield Township, PA; father and mother-in-law John and Karen Redinger of Everett, PA; sisters-in-law Christine (Joe) Imler of Bedford, PA; Michele (Dean) Dibert of Everett, PA; and the following nieces and nephews; Miranda (Josh, John, and Camryn Slomkowski), Derek (Katelyn, Warren and Reid Dibert), Erika Imler, Marlee Dibert, AJ Imler, Sylar and Liam Hartnett. Bob was also godfather to Sylar.
Bob was a graduate from the University of Pittsburgh, where he received a Bachelor of Science degree. He was a tenured math teacher for the McKeesport Area High School. Bob was a gifted musician; known for his talent on the guitar. He was a member of several local bands including Weathered Soul. Weathered Soul was his pride and joy. A band which included close knit friends and family. He was an active member of the Aikido of Pittsburgh dojo and was immensely proud of his black belt ranking.
Bob was a great husband, father, son, brother, uncle, nephew, cousin, and friend and will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.
A family gathering with services to be conducted by Rev. Charles Owston, will take place tomorrow, December 15, 2020 at Strifflers of White Oak Cremation and Mortuary Services, 1100 Lincoln Way, White Oak, PA 15131 (Sue Striffler Galaski, supervisor, 412-678-6177).
Due to Covid-19 restrictions, A Celebration of Life service will be held by the family at a future time.
Should friends desire, memorial contributions may be sent to The Hartnett residence for Zachary’s future education.
