Robert James Krasman, age 73, of White Oak, died on Tuesday, November 16, 2021. He was born on September 6, 1948, in Pittsburgh and is the son of the late Andrew and Louise Rago Krasman. He is the husband of the late Pamela S. Krasman, who died on December 9, 2020.
He was Senior Vice President of the United Way of Allegheny County until he retired. Before that, he served as business manager for McKeesport Area School District. Robert is a graduate of Steubenville University and West Mifflin North High School. Robert was a big fan of the Pittsburgh Steelers, Pitt Panthers, and football in general, and he spent much of his time perfecting his lawn and taking on home improvement projects. He also co-authored a book about non-profit quality management during his career. In retirement, Robert and Pamela were able to spend free time together, visit with their neighbors, and care for their animals. Robert was a devoted husband and father who would be quick to tease you but always was willing to help whoever needed it.
He is survived by his daughter, Lesley (Shaun) McDonough of Monroeville; son, Brian (Christina) Krasman of Duquesne; and niece Erin Kiehl Pickett of Connecticut. In addition to his wife, he is preceded in death by his sister, Andrea Kiehl.
A gathering for the family was held at Strifflers of White Oak Cremation and Mortuary Services, 1100 Lincoln Way, White Oak, PA 15131 (Sue Striffler Galaski, supervisor, 412 678 6177). Entombment at Lebanon Chapel Mausoleum of West Mifflin.
