Ronald Wayne Corman, age 81, of Fort Myers, FL, died on Wednesday, October 5, 2022. He was born in McKeesport, PA on July 4, 1941 and is the son of the late Harry O. and Martha Louise Hunter Corman. He graduated from Duquesne High School and attended Waynesburg University and the University of Pittsburgh. Ronald proudly served in the United States Army and was awarded the Good Conduct Medal as a Sharpshooter. After serving in the United States Army, he retired from CSX after 32 years as a Locomotive Engineer. He was a member of numerous organizations including, the General Smedley D. Butler Post 701 White Oak American Legion; Braddock Elks Lodge No. 883; Free and Accepted Masons of Pennsylvania Infinity Lodge No. 546 in Penn Hills; Shriners International; Moose General Assembly Lodge No. 3000; Boston Vets Club; GBU in Duquesne; and the McKeesport Sportsmen’s Association.
He is survived by his loving wife, Joan Irene Parknavy Corman; and niece, nephews, and many cousins.
Family and friends will gather at Strifflers of White Oak Cremation and Mortuary Services, 1100 Lincoln Way, White Oak, PA 15131 (Sue Striffler Galaski, supervisor, 412-678-6177) on Wednesday, October 12, 2022 from 10:00 a.m. until Noon, when services will be held in the funeral home chapel. Burial with military honors will follow in Mt. Vernon Cemetery.
