Sylvia Cannon

Sylvia Cannon, age 81, of Whitaker, PA, died on Tuesday, June 16, 2020. She was born in Homestead, on July 13, 1938 and is the daughter of the late Michael and Ann Kenda Blanner. She is the wife of the late James “Cuts” Cannon who died in 2010. Sylvia was a member of the Ladies Auxilary of the Whitaker Fire Department Station #298. She was formerly employed at the Whitaker UDF and Bishops Pizza Shop also in Whitaker.

She is survived by he daughter, Debbie (Walt) Radziwon of Whitaker; sons, Robert Cannon of Whitaker, William( Bucky) Cannon of Munhall, James (Terri) Cannon of Whitaker and Michael (Dania) Cannon of Traverse City, Michigan; grandchildren, Christopher Radziwon, Michael (Ashley) Radziwon, Caylee Cannon, Jonathan Cannon, Kathleen Cannon, Jacob Cannon, Kellie Cannon, Jake Cannon and Kari Cannon; great grandchildren, Aubrie and Landon Radziwon.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Rita’s Church, 219 West Schwab Avenue, Homestead, PA 15120, on Monday, June 29, 2020 at noon. Arrangements are being handled by Strifflers of White Oak Cremation & Mortuary Services, 1100 Lincoln Way, White Oak, PA 15131 (Sue Striffler Galaski, supervisor, 412 678 6177).
