Therese “Terri” Sklencar Kopchinski, age 59 of Monroeville, died suddenly on Tuesday, July 17, 2018. She was born November 26, 1958, in McKeesport, the daughter of Jean Masciantonio Sklencar of White Oak and the late Leonard Sklencar. In addition to her mother, Terri is survived by her brothers, James (Ruth) Sklencar of Boonsboro, MD, Joseph (Jodi) Sklencar of Yorba Linda, CA, and Michael (Amy Apel) Sklencar of Murrysville, PA; sisters, Mary Jo Bowman of Erlanger, KY, Connie (Michael) Roland of White Oak, PA and Christine (Tony) Machi of Mars, PA; nieces and nephews, Karen Sklencar Danfelt, James and Christopher Sklencar, Ashlee Roland Anthony, Shanyn Roland, Jessica Roland Hensel, Brian Bowman, Alayne, Emily and Abby Sklencar, and Anthony, Alyssa, and Aubree Machi; and several great-nieces and great-nephews. Terri was known for her strong work ethic, as well as her dedication to her family (especially her nieces and nephews), and her sense of humor. Terri was devoted to her mother, caring for Jean in the years since Leonard passed. Known as the coolest aunt, she was tremendously proud of her nieces and nephews for their many accomplishments. She will forever be missed by her family and friends. Family and friends will be received on Monday, July 23, 2018, from 4–8 pm at Strifflers of White Oak Cremation & Mortuary Service, 1100 Lincoln Way, White Oak, PA 15131 (Sue Striffler Galaski, Supervisor 412-678-6177). Mass of Christian Burial will be held Tuesday at 10 am at St. Angela Merici Church, 1640 Fawcett Ave., White Oak, PA 15131, with Fr. Kevin Dominik officiating. Burial will follow.
