Yolanda “Dolly” B. Jubic, age 84, passed away peacefully surrounded by loved ones on Sunday, February 19, 2023. She was born in Pittsburgh on July 18, 1938 and is the daughter of the late Raphael and Nellie (Affinito) Moio.
Beloved wife of Peter “Sonny” W. Jubic of 67 years. Loving mother of Eugene (Mary) Jubic of Nottingham Township; Michael (Tami) Jubic of Nottingham Township; and Daniel (Cherie) Jubic of Clairton. Cherished Nana of Mindy (Crystal) Balance; Christopher (Natasha) Jubic; Kelly (Devin) Faddoul; Natalie (Jordan) Criss; Kaitlin Jubic; Dylan (Paige) Jubic; and Rachael (Lucas) Poljak; and 11 great-grandchildren. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, in-laws, and friends.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her siblings, Anthony; Loretta; Mary; Raphael; Ida Mae; Angela; and Robert.
Yolanda was an effervescent, passionate woman. The legacy of her father’s business, Moio’s Italian Pastry Shop, is something that was very important to her. She worked there for well over 65 years with her niece and nephew, Michelle and Anthony, as well as her father, brothers, and other family and friends. She always exemplified the importance of family and brought them together by hosting large holiday gatherings and frequent dinners where many memories were created. She loved sharing stories of growing up in Oakland. She was a skilled gambler, an avid golfer and bowler, and a sharp dresser. She also enjoyed spending time in Myrtle Beach. She was ageless in spirit and lived her entire life to the fullest. Yolanda will be greatly missed by her family, customers, and friends in both Pittsburgh and Myrtle Beach.
Family and friends will gather on Wednesday, February 22, 2023 from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Strifflers of Dravosburg/West Mifflin, Inc., 740 Pittsburgh McKeesport Blvd., Dravosburg, PA 15034 (412-678-6192). Services will be held on Thursday, February 23, 2023 at 10:00 a.m. in the funeral home chapel. Entombment will follow at Lebanon Church Cemetery in West Mifflin.
